With User Interface Themes and
View Groups, you are only limited by your imagination. Users
don't need to purchase multiple breed editions from multiple software
vendors ... with aim, you can use the software out-of-the-box or
construct your own breed-specific record keeping system. You
want it your way ... and aim delivers! |

User Interface Themes ... |
|
|
|
User Interface Themes provides the
tools to construct an unlimited number of Themes to tailor the user
interface to meet record keeping requirements for any and all breeds.
With Themes, you can easily select
the data fields that you want to participate in each Theme ... as well as
which data fields you want displayed in the information editors and record
lists. |

Themes and
Display Attributes
The User Interface Themes
Workshop gives you a centralized workspace to:
-
Create an unlimited number
of Themes.
-
Define data field captions
to meet your preferences or language requirements.
-
Show / Hide data entry
fields and captions on a per Theme basis. As an example, in a
Sheep Theme, you may have a Scrapie ID field ... but when you select
the Cattle Theme, you do not want the Scrapie ID field to be visible
... because it does not apply.
-
Add separators to group
logical data entry fields and achieve the desired appearance.
-
Preview the runtime layout
... how the information editors and record lists will appear when
the Theme is active.

Runtime
Theme Preview
Select the preview layout
tab to see how your Theme will look at runtime.
Go back and forth, between the
designer and preview tabs, to construct the desired user interface for
your Theme. |

View Groups ... |
|
|
|
View Groups provides a powerful
mechanism to group your animal inventory. You can create an
unlimited number of view groups, with the flexibility for any animal to
belong to multiple View Groups.
Additionally, any Theme can be
associated to any View Group ... so at runtime, when you select a View Group
with breed-specific members, the User Interface Theme will automatically
change to present the breed-specific record keeping interface. |

Direct
Selection View Groups
View Groups can be based on
specific content of data fields as demonstrated above, or by
selecting specific animal inventory items from the database.
This provides an extended
range of flexibility when working with specific animal groups. As
an example, if you are running a boarding operation, such as a kennel,
stable, etc., you would typically group the animals based on the name of
the Client ... making it easy to record and report the general care and
maintenance information for each Client. |
